Partindo da problematização sobre as duas acepções de literatura de testemunho - uma vertente dessa literatura localiza-se no período de 1960-80, cuja crítica norte-americana chamará de literatura de testimonio e a outra corrente trata-se de estudos e textos que dialogam com os estudos dos testemunhos nascidos pós-segunda Grande Guerra em razão da Shoah – procuramos nesse artigo dialogar com essa segunda acepção, expondo-a a luz de textos literários que excursionam de forma representativa a catástrofe dos campos de concentração e detenção em ditaduras no Chile e na Argentina. Consideramos aqui em particular obras como as de Hernán Valdés (1974), Jacobo Timermann (1982) e com especial atenção a obra de Nora Strejilevich (1996). Para empreendermos a discussão aqui proposta nos dedicamos a estabelecermos um diálogo elucidativo sobre o tema –ditadura e testemunho- com autores da crítica latino-americana como Beverley & Achugar (2002), De Marco (2004) e Strejilevich (2006) e os europeus Agamben (2008) e Benjamin (1997).

Begun of problematization about the two in the true sense of literature of evidence –a hillside of this literature located in the period 1960-80, whose north- American critic call of testimony literature and the other current treat of studies and texts that dialogue with the studies of testimony born post- second World War because of the Shoah – We looking for in this article to dialogue with this second hillside, exposing the light of literary texts that representative way the disaster of the concentration camps and detention dictatorships in the Chile and in the Argentina. We consider here in particular works such as Hernán Valdés (1974), Jacobo Timermann (1982) and with special attention the work of Nora Strejilevich (1996). To undertake the discussion proposed here we dedicated to establish an instructive dialogue about the topic - dictatorship and testimony with authors of Latin American critics like Beverley & Achugar (2002) De Marco (2004) and Strejilevich (2006) and the European Agamben (2008) and Benjamin (1997).
