Considerando a produção escrita de Caio Fernando Abreu, estudaremos alguns de

seus textos representativos das figuras de escritor, das projeções e das expectativas acerca deste ofício que ele construiu para si, para os familiares e amigos, para o público e para a crítica. Estas representações, que se fazem por meio de uma poética auto e antropofágica, desvelam a mise-en-abyme das várias personae de escritor nas cartas, contos, crônicas, romances etc., peculiaridade que evidencia a potência dialógica da referida obra. Coloca-se, pois, uma importante questão teórica, a saber, a inserção deste autor no sistema literário brasileiro, cuja poética problematiza os conceitos e mitos de autor, autoria e genialidade vigentes, especialmente, no Romantismo e nas Artes de Vanguarda.

Considering the written production of Caio Fernando Abreu, we will study some of his representative texts about the writer figures, the projections and the expectations about this profession that he constituted for himself, his family and friends, for the public and the critics. These representations, which are made through a self and anthropophagic poetics, unveil the mise-en-abyme of the various personae as a writer in letters, short-stories, chronicles, novels, and so on, a peculiarity that evidences the dialogical potency of the said work. An important theoretical question appears, namely, the insertion of this author in the Brazilian literary system, whose poetic problematizes the concepts and myths of the author, current authorship and genius, especially in Romanticism and the Avant-garde Arts.
