RESUMEN: El presente artículo propone abordar el estudio de la Novela de la Revolución Mexicana desde tres flancos: repasar las posturas críticas en torno a esta clase de producciones; introducir en la discusión las categorías “revolución cultural” (MONSIVÁIS, 1983) y “naciones intelectuales” (SÁNCHEZ PRADO, 2009); y estudiar dos definiciones de novela producidas en distintos momentos del nomos del campo literario mexicano. Estos tres abordajes podrían ayudarnos a comprender mejor el ciclo narrativo que se extiende de 1910 a 1969. Como una de las posibleslíneas de investigación se presenta el caso de Casa Editorial Lozano, entidad que publicó al menos siete novelas de tema revolucionario entre 1920-1928.
ABSTRACT: This article proposes to approach the study of the Mexican Revolution Novel from three sides: to review the critical positions around this kind of productions; to introduce into the discussion the concepts of “cultural revolution” (MONSIVÁIS, 1983) and “intellectual nations” (SÁNCHEZ PRADO, 2009); and to study two definitions of novels produced at different momentsof the nomos of the Mexican literary field. Together, these three approaches could help us to better understand the narrative cycle that extends from 1910 to 1969. One of the possible lines of research is the case of Casa Editorial Lozano, an entity that published at least seven novels with revolutionary themes between 1920-1928.
