RESUMO: Na extensa correspondência que trocou com os seus tradutores, Guimarães Rosa não só responde minuciosamente às questões que lhe eram colocadas – muitas vezes de caráter referencial em razão da enorme abundância de nomes de plantas, animais e expressões regionais presentes em seus livros –, como, indo muito além delas, acaba desvendando algumas das particularidades de sua poética. Neste artigo, apresentamos algumas passagens desse diálogo.
ABSTRACT: In the extensive correspondence he exchanged with his translators, Guimarães Rosa not only meticulously answered the questions he was asked – which were often of a referential nature due to the great abundance of names of plants, animals and regional expressions present in his books – but also, going far beyond them, he ended up revealing some of the particularities of his poetics. In this article, we present some passages from this dialogue.
