En el presente texto, analizamos tres imágenes femeninas presentes en la obra de Clarice Lispector a partir de su relación con la belleza y la fealdad. Para tanto, escogemos el personaje Lori, protagonista de la novela Un aprendizaje o el libro de los placeres, y, también, los personajes Macabea y Gloria, pertenecientes a la novela La hora de la estrella. Cada uno de esos personajes son importantes llaves de lectura en la comprensión del que es ser mujer desde la mirada femenina, así como de la perspectiva masculina/patriarcal, una vez que, como podemos deprender de las lecturas de las novelas, la mujer está constituida a partir de una visión masculina que la mira y devuelve una imagen basada en los atributos físicos, sin embargo, no logra llegar al cerne de la identidad femenina.

In this paper, we analyze three female images present in the work of Clarice Lispector, considering their relationship with beauty and ugliness. To do so, we choose the characters Lori, protagonist of the novel An Apprenticeship: or, the Book of Delights, and also Macabéa and Glória, both characters from the novel The Hour of the Star. Each of these characters are important reading keys in the understanding of what it is to be a woman from the feminine as well as the masculine/ patriarchal perspectives, since, as we may realize from the readings of the novels, the woman is characterized from a male view that looks at her and in return gives an image based on physical attributes, without, however, being able to reach the heart of the feminine identity.
